#ReadAcrossAmerica Day

Back to Events

We all know the value of reading good books. It can broaden our intellectual horizons and raise the spirit to the transcendent and spiritual. Many of our great Saints- St. Ignatius of Loyola, St. Teresa Benedicta, St. Teresa of Avila and more attributed their conversions to having read a good spiritual book. Other books we prefer may not be explicitly "spiritual" but they also awaken the beautiful, creative and good in many of us. SO on this #ReadAcrossAmericaDay, what book inspired you? What is that one book you have in your shelf that is just waiting to be opened, another world waiting to be explored. As the song from the Disney movie "Aladdin" goes-
"I can show you the world, shining, shimmering, splendid...I can open your eyes, take you wonder by wonder..."
