Lenten Reflection: Sister Maria Agnes, O.Carm.

Lent is a time when I am awakened to traveling the Way of the Cross. I begin on Ash Wednesday with plans for improvement in my spiritual life. Many times during the 40 days I fall short but as I reflect on Jesus’ three falls, I am strengthened and encouraged to pick myself up and continue on my journey. Mary Our Mother accompanied Jesus so I pray to her to intercede for me and to help me keep my eyes on the finish line.

I keep in mind Saint Paul's Letter to the Ephesians 6:14-17:

“So stand your ground, with truth buckled round your waist, and integrity for a breastplate, wearing for shoes on your feet the eagerness to spread the gospel of peace and always carrying the shield of faith so that you can use it to put out the burning arrows of the evil one.”
