Celebrating Jubilees of 2023

On June 3, 2023, the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm honored their Sisters who celebrated their 75, 70, 60 and 50 years of religious consecration to God and His Church.  The celebrations were held at Saint Teresa's Motherhouse in Germantown, New York with a festive gathering of families, friends and fellow Sisters for the Eucharistic liturgy and lunch reception. We were honored to welcome Most Reverend Gerardo Colacicco of the Archdiocese of New York as the Principal Celebrant. Also present at the altar were Very Reverend Mario Esposito, O.Carm. as the Master of Ceremonies. Con-celebrating at the altar were Reverend Michael Kissane, O.Carm., Reverend Mark Zittle, O.Carm., Rev. James Sullivan and Rev. Jim Hess, O.Carm. Sister Mark Louis Anne Randall, O.Carm. led the Carmelite Sisters' Community Choir as the organist.

We congratulate our Jubilarians of 2023 and thank God for the many years of dedicated and loving service to the Lord and His elderly in the many Homes our Sisters operate along with the dedicated and hard working staff members. The work that was began in 1929 by our Foundress, Venerable Mother Angeline Teresa McCrory, continues to be relevant and important in our society today as America ages. Without the help of our lay-staff, it would have been very difficult, if not outright impossible, to carry out this mission of caring for the elderly entrusted to us by God and His Church. We ask you to pray for vocations to this Community so that the women who may be willing to commit themselves to this noble mission may also discover the inner and lasting joy only God can give even amidst difficulties, as witnessed to us by our 75, 70, 60 and 50 years Jubilarians.  And like them, continually give glory to God by their lives of humble service!
