Carmel Connection 2023

Carmel Connection Members joined the Carmelite Sisters at St. Teresa’s Motherhouse on Sunday, October 1, 2023. Very Rev. Mario Esposito O.Carm. was the Celebrant and Homilist at the 11:00 a.m. Mass, after which he blessed roses in honor of St. Therese of Lisieux. After Mass everyone gathered at the Mother Angeline Heritage Center for a Prayer Service and blessing of the beautiful bench donated by Carmel Connection that now overlooks Queen of Carmel Cemetery. On a plaque attached to the bench the following words are written:

After the blessing everyone gathered in the Refectory and enjoyed a delicious turkey dinner with all the trimmings. The celebration ended with heartfelt words from Jackie Hanson, after which everyone held hands and sang “Avila’s Our Home”.
