"“Consecrated men and women are a witness to the hope of a life lived in Christ that is awaited to be fully received in Heaven." — Archbishop-designate Ronald A. Hicks

In honor of the World Day of Prayer for Consecrated Life, the Avila Sisters hosted the Sisters of the Resurrection for a Mass, brunch and social with games! The visiting Sisters also had the opportunity to tour the Heritage Center. At the end of their time together, the Sisters from both Communities renewed their vows and received a small holy card in honor of the day. It truly was a day filled with laughs, prayer, and gratitude for the gift of our vocations as consecrated religious. Let us continue to pray for all those in consecrated life — that they may continue to grow deeper in their commitment and love of the Lord.

The text on the holy card reads: "Consecrated life means going to the very root of love of Jesus Christ with an undivided heart and putting nothing ahead of this love." — Pope Benedict XVI
